Day 21: Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming (Day 2)
Drove the north loop today. First stop was Roaring Mountain, named for its numerous fumaroles.
First bear sighting! I'm glad he was a ways away.
Typical Yellowstone Roadblock.
The assortment of bacteria and geological features is quite fascinating, and is quite different from what the south loop offered.
Mammoth Hot Springs.
We drove out the north entrance to the park through the Roosevelt Arch. Wandered around Gardiner, Montana, went into some shops, and stopped for a good lunch.
Finishing up the loop, we came across some mountain goats, doing what they do best.
Last stop was the falls - I think we hiked to just about every viewpoint/lookout possible.
